Green East End

Lungfuls of fresh air

How much green space can we discover in our own East End? Well, quite a lot, even in those urban enclaves further west. Compact pocket parks, tree-lined residential roads, patches of woodland, lanes and fields. On this page are fifty locations where green is the dominant colour. After you've explored this gallery you could venture to discover the real places they represent.

Clarence Park bandstand

Clarence Park bandstand. The current bandstand is the second to command this spot within the recreational zone of this 1894 open space.
